What's new...

Terra Celestia, meaning Earth and Heavens in Latin, is a garden and seedling company located in Gray Maine that uses organic methods and sustainable practices, primarily serving at the Gray Village Market.

Terra Celestia’s intention is to enable folks to grow their own food, herbs, and flowers and reclaim food sovereignty while honoring and venerating the traditions and practices of the Wabanaki Confederacy peoples. Through continued education of decolonization, climate resiliency, and permaculture inspired practices, Terra Celestia seeks to cultivate the verdant silver lining between soil and light.

Community Supported Agriculture

(CSA)

A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is a partnership between local farmers and consumers that allows individuals to support sustainable farming practices while enjoying fresh, seasonal produce. Members of a CSA buy a "share" of the farm's harvest upfront (usually at the beginning of the growing season), which helps provide the farm with the capital needed to purchase seeds, equipment, and other essentials.

Terra Celestia CSA share options

  • Weekly seedlings, produce, and foragables late June through early October.

  • A farm share for a singular month, July, August, October, or other 30 day period.

Why a CSA?

Fresh, Local, and Seasonal plants and produce, often harvested and procured just days before they are available for pickup.

Directly sustaining small-scale, sustainable farming practices, helping to support your local farms and food systems.

CSA members have the opportunity to build a relationship with the farmers who grow their food and learn about the growing practices that make community agriculture possible.

A variety of produce is part of the fun of receiving new items each week.
